Walking You Through an Architectural Design Phase, That Takes Account of Your Identity

One of the most exciting parts of the journey is at the design phase. The possibilities are endless; and we encourage my clients bring their ideas:

  • Clippings,
  • Photos,
  • Checklists and other items that set the mood, tone and style of what you like (and what you definitely don’t want) to really understand what it is you want to achieve.

Very soon ideas from both client and architect begin to flow in a synergy and joy that is directed towards your project.

The Passive House Design & Build Process

As an architect we deal with many clients, who are unsure of the entire process, from conceptualisation to realisation. Building a custom designed home can be intimidating if it’s a process you’re not familiar with. I’ve heard horror stories of homeowners barely surviving, having wasted thousands of euros with contractors who took advantage when they have the upper hand, or being tied up in court, slowly losing their sanity when they realised they were out of their depth. It doesn’t have to be like this.

Planning your home should be a methodical, logical process and proceed in a step by step manner to get the right people to do the job. In fact it should be a delightful and exciting process. It’s about having a game plan and an expert on your side to guide you through the most complicated stuff – how to select a contractor, determine the right price structure and secure it with a contract, down to the last detail. As one of the most expensive endeavours in a lifetime, it’s important that you have a written contract to protect yourself in the event that something goes wrong. I can help you with all of this
